Patrick Ng bridges the gap between deep technology and successful ventures. As a certified instructor (ACLP) and mentor for venture creation programmes, he empowers entrepreneurs to navigate the complexities of building and scaling deep-tech companies. His guidance is rooted in over twenty-five years of hands-on experience as a corporate innovation leader, technopreneur and prolific inventor with twelve patent families to his name, spanning cybersecurity algorithms to energy optimisation.
He is Lead Instructor of the SUSS Impact Startup Challenge, teaching regional tracks in Shenzhen, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City, and has led instruction for the NUS Masters in Venture Creation Lean Startup Practicum, NTU Lean Launchpad Singapore and SUSS Designing Impactful Ventures. He has run masterclasses and workshops for organisations including A*STAR, the Institute of Technical Education, UOB FinLab, Temasek Polytechnic and NTU, and serves as a business coach on the NTU and SMU Executive Leadership for Transformation programmes.
Before founding Spark Launchpad in 2020, he held Director of Innovation Hub at HARTING Singapore, CEO of Fringe Analytics, Head of R&D at Barghest Building Performance, and Principal Technology Manager at IPI Singapore, alongside earlier engineering roles at Rockwell Automation and Agilent Technologies.
